Good Companions provides compassionate residential care, home care and support services across Cumbria.
Some services are regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), while certain support arrangements may operate separately from CQC registration requirements.
SHARE THE CARE 💚
Introduce someone to Silloth Day Care Centre and you'll BOTH be rewarded.
And if you're their son, daughter, friend or primary carer, you can come along with them.
The person referred will normally be aged 65+. Their attendance is subject to assessment, suitability and availability. Referrers and primary carers accompanying them do not require an assessment. Full terms and conditions apply.

Perhaps someone you care about would enjoy more company but feels nervous about going somewhere unfamiliar on their own.
Perhaps you care for someone who would benefit from meeting new people, enjoyable activities and simply having something different to look forward to.
If you're their relative, friend, neighbour or primary carer, you can accompany them during their free days.
No assessment is required for you as their accompanying referrer or carer.

We'll arrange the referred person's assessment. The accompanying referrer or primary carer does not require one.

Once everything is agreed, experience Silloth Day Care Centre together.

Following the referred person's first attendance, the Share the Care rewards apply.

Share the Care FAQs
Does the person I refer have to be over 65?
They will normally be aged 65 or over. Good Companions may accept a younger person where the Centre is considered suitable for them.
I'm younger than 65. Can I still refer someone?
Yes. There is no age requirement for the referrer.
Do I need an assessment to come with them?
No. A referrer or primary carer accompanying the person they referred does not require an assessment.
Does the person I refer need an assessment?
Yes. Their attendance is subject to Good Companions' assessment, suitability and availability requirements.
Do the 10 free days have to be consecutive?
No. They may be spread over an agreed period, subject to availability and advance booking.
When do we receive the £25 vouchers?
The vouchers will normally be issued once the referred person has completed any required assessment, been accepted and attended the Centre for the first time.
Can an existing Day Centre customer refer someone?
Yes. Existing customers can introduce someone new and qualify under the scheme, subject to the full terms and conditions.
How many referral rewards can I receive?
Referral rewards are restricted to one qualifying referral per person per calendar month.
Is the scheme only available to people living in Silloth?
No. Referrals are welcome from across Cumbria. The scheme is intended for older people living within practical reach of Silloth, as attendance takes place at Silloth Day Care Centre.
