How This Live-In Care Introduction Works
Good Companions helps families source and introduce suitable independent live-in carers. The live-in carer is engaged directly by the client or family and paid directly by them.
This is different from a fully managed live-in care agency service. There are no ongoing live-in agency management fees, which helps keep the weekly cost significantly lower.
- Good Companions helps introduce suitable independent live-in carers.
- The family pays the live-in carer directly.
- The live-in carer lives in the client’s home.
- The arrangement is designed to provide companionship and daily support.
- Any regulated Personal Care support can be arranged separately through Good Companions Care at Home Agency.
Clear, Transparent Pricing
Through our live-in care introduction arrangement, families can access live-in support from:
£840 per week
£120 per day — paid directly to the independent live-in carer
This can offer substantial savings compared with many traditional managed live-in care services.

Managing Live-In Carer Rest Breaks
Families are completely free to arrange break cover independently, utilise family support networks, or opt to arrange a coordinated daily respite visit through Good Companions Care at Home Agency.
This optional daily visit can provide reassurance, continuity and practical support while the live-in carer takes a break.
Good Companions Care at Home Agency is registered with the Care Quality Commission for the regulated activity of Personal Care.
Important Regulatory Distinction
The independent live-in carer introduction arrangement operates separately from Good Companions’ CQC-registered domiciliary care service.
Good Companions does not provide clinical nursing services through this arrangement. Where nursing, clinical procedures or specialist healthcare interventions are required, these remain under the responsibility of appropriate healthcare professionals, such as GPs, district nurses, therapists or specialist NHS teams.
Backed by an Established Cumbria Care Provider
